5/28/2023 0 Comments Scythe 2 book![]() ![]() ![]() I enjoyed this sequel a lot as it fully expands upon the world in a way that the previous entry doesn’t, mostly with the Thunderhead, the artificial intelligence which controls the world, playing a much larger part in the story than in the previous entry. ![]() Realizing she cannot do this alone, or even with the help of mentors Scythe Curie and Faraday, she risks her life to be able to communicate with the Thunderhead, the artificial intelligence that controls the entire world, including death and the immortality of the human race as a result of thousands of revival centers constructed around the world which can bring nearly any “deadish” individual back to the world of the living.Īfter reading the previous entry in the series, Scythe, I was very much looking forward to Thunderhead and I had very high expectations, which for the most part, were met. Citra, now a junior scythe under Scythe Curie, her mentor, sees the corruption and wants to help change it from the inside out, but is threatened at every turn by the “new order” scythes. In the year since Winter Conclave, he has gone off-grid, and has been striking out against corrupt scythes - not only in MidMerica, but across the entire continent, under the name “Sycthe Lucifer”. Rowan, previously a trainee Scythe under the mentorship of Scythe Faraday, has gone rogue, and taken it upon himself to put the Scythedom through a trial by fire, Literally.
